BLOCKADE AT KHARDA STATION CREATING PROBLEMS AMONG PASSENGERS IN KOLKATA

Webdesk, Kolkata TNI, 18th October, 2016: Today at around 8:30 am the trains were blockaded by passengers at Khardah Rail Station near Kolkata. The blockade started in the downline of Kharda Station. Later the blockade started at the 1 and 3 line of the station too. Reports just came in that blockade is now lifted. This had led to problems for the daily commuters in the station as well as in the trains passing through this station. The blockaders alleged that this had happened due to the wrong announcement during the entry of Barrackpore local. Thus there was a commotion among the passengers. The protesters said that this would have led to some accidents in the platform and even in the railway line. However, the railway officials alleged that the miscreants within the passengers are trying to create a ruckus such as this blockade so that the normal train services are halted. However, a section of the passengers alleged that this practice of wrong information is a regular feature in this station.
